Here's some close up pics. I hope they're good enough to answer your question.

Looks good - thanks for the closeup string height shots. If it is similar to what you are used to, then they must be set OK from the shop.

Nice Bass !!

The string height is a little lower than my '92 Jazz. I get a little bit of "clacking" on the frets if I finger too heavy on the '92 and even though the string height is lower on the new CS I'm not getting any "clacking" at all.
I'm thinking a slight neck adjustment would probalby take care of the problem on the "92.

I did notice last night while practicing that I was getting a little noise when I lifted my fingers off the strings. I was using a Hartke keyboard amp (kickback type) that the drummer owns for the first time. So I thought that might be the problem.
But then I remembered that we recordered saturday night and there is a constant buzz on the bass track. Bad enough that I will have to lay down a new bass track on any songs we want to keep. We thought it was probably a bad cord, but after reading some of the threads about grounding or lack thereof, I believe it could possibly be a ground issue.
I sure hope not. I hate to think I paid this much for a bass and it has a problem like a ground issue that is so easy to prevent when the bass was made. I'll check it out more tonight.

Went to the studio and layed new bass tracks. The bass was very quiet and sounded great just running through my SansAmp to the board. :D

I found out the noise was coming from my Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus pedal.
