I've heard rumours of Geddy using a 5 string aroung 1990 & the Presto / Roll the Bones era.....though I've never seen him use one live.....as for a 6 string .....the only one I've ever seen him use was a six guitar on his Rickenbacker 4080 double neck guitar / bass
used on Xanadu ..back in the day.

If Geddy used a 5-string bass in the 1990s, Fender should release a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass V! Marcus Miller has already his signature model with 5 strings, so Geddy deserves a 5-string signature bass as well!

I just bought my first Bass...

I have been a Rush fan since "Fly By Night" the sound that Geddy, Alex and Neil can accomplish as a trio is amazing...

I wanted to learn to play their music and bought a guitar in 2000... A little late but what the heck... (I wasn't sure if I wanted a bass or a guitar at that time)
Well, I put the guitar away after a few years of lessons due to work issues.
But in December 2011, I got the bug again and started to pick up the guitar to try and learn a few songs... I finally learned my first song ever... Pink Floyd's Time... I am pretty proud that I finally learned to play a complete song from start to end including the solo (Just don't ask me to play it with a band yet)

I had been looking at the GL Jazz for a few years and could not bring myself to buy it.... I walked into the music store in my area and found the GL Jazz in the bargain area of the store... brand new still in the box $899.99 with a gig bag...

I am not the greatest guitar player, but, I look forward to getting home from work to play it...
