Im thinking of buying an Aerodyne, I already have a regular Fender Jazz and I was just wondering if buying an Aerodyne is worth it.
All help appreciated :)

A friend just bought one. He really likes his. It's a little lighter weigt, which is a bonus for long nights. The craftsmanship seemed nice as well.

:D :D :D I have 2 aerodynes. A jazz and a precision. Areodynes come in 2 versions export and non export. I OWN THE EXPORT VERSIONS. Both are great basses. Just like standard fender basses they each have their own voice. The jazz is 3yrs. old and is my go-to bass. the p-bass is a year old. workman ship is excellent, sound is great. I play out 1-2 times a week with some session work tossed in every once in a while. These basse along with my frettless j-baas go with me everywhere. None of them have had break-down issues at all. I have read some very negative reviews on the aerodyns but when i did a little digging found that the bad press was on the non exprot versions. Stay away from them. Pick-up an export bass and you will be happy for along time to come

I own the non-export modell. It´s a great bass but there are some things one has to know:

The bass is really light due to the basswood-body. Because of this, the sound is also a little more bassy then an alder bass would be.

The PUs are japan-made and have a strong output. The magnets are a little bigger than the ones used with the Fender vintage PUs. The sound ist somewhere between fender us standart and SD-Quarterpounders.

The Bass is a good alrounder an perfect for rock and heavier stuff, as ist ha a p/j-combination on it.

The difference with the none export modell is that it has a pickguard and the chrome control plate. It looks very good.

They are a great bass and you can get some really cool colors in them too definately worth the price.
