He had a '60 sunburst. It was modded with a pbass pup butted right up to the neck. And three concentric pots. One for eack pup. It was stolen.

It was used on Airplane's first three LP's.
Has it resurfaced over the years?

I believe it's still "MIA".

Sad. Jack was a real pioneer in bi-amping and his rigs often rivaled The Ox's in complexity.

So far as I know it was never recovered. He was never actually partial to any singular instrument. He was often seen with one Guild Starfire or another. But it is the player, not the instrument and in this virtuoso's case no matter what instrument he played it really didn't matter. He also played Dan Electro Longhorns, no kidding.

Jack Casady also used a '73 Gibson Les Paul Signature hollow body bass in he 1980's.

When Jack Casady went to Gibson to make his signature bass, they had their historian locate the molds that had been used to make the Gibson Les Pauls. The result was the Epiphone Jack Casady bass. Both series of basses were/are made from the same molds.
