I have two MIM Jazz Active Deluxe basses that really kick butt!
They're great. I was wondering if anybody knows the frequency attenuated by the three tone controls Bass, mids, & treble? - Especially the mid control. It really adds punch to my playing.
Thanks

These were sort of hard to find as they are not on the Fender North American spec sheet, but I got 'em from GAK.CO.UK of all places.

3-Band Active EQ:
Treble Boost/Cut: +/- 10 db @ 8kHz, a shift in the cut frequency, and about a 2dB $@!&# per octave.
Mid Boost/Cut: +10dB, -15dB @ 500Hz, and a wide band $@!&#.
Bass Boost/Cut: +/- 12 db @ 40 Hz, with a 4dB $@!&# per octave.

Sorry it took so long.

Gads Sabre I don't know why that got garbled. Maybe Fender blocked it. Some sort of proprietary information.....trying again!

OK THE GARBLED PART IS $@!&# SUCH AS I SKI DOWN THE SKI-SLOPE. WHY S-L-O-P-E IS BLOCKED IS BEYOND ME. Maybe it means something nasty in Swiss.

S-L-O-P-E, it a derogatory term for Asians brotherdave. Just like if you put J-A-P it will garble it up too.

The only time I've ever heard it spoken with that contextual meaning was here:

Speaking of antiquated slurs. I find it mildly amusing that there is a sushi restaurant in Seattle called "Tojo's". My sense of humor is a little weird though.

Do you know for a fact that it's not the owner's actual surname?
I'm sure the old admiral probably has a few descendants and many people carry that name. ... Well, OK, I'm not "sure", but I think it's a likely possibility.

It is the owners surname. I saw an interview with him on an episode of "The Hippie Gourmet". It's like Cubans with the surname Castro. When leaving that culture they generally don't take it with them. I don't think you will ever see a "Castro's Cuban Cuisine" any time soon. Granted in SF the Castro is the G-A-Y section.

Yeah it's funny that I had to translate !@$ into G-A-Y. Especially since it really isn't that much a slur. I hear it on the news and tv show's. Most of the homosexuals I know refer to themselves as G-A-Y yet it is one of the words that dare not speak it's name on this forum.
