Congratulations on finding one. I've yet to even see one in person yet and I've been looking too! Do post the after report please! Thanks in advance.

well guys, to start with I do work @ a "music superstore" and that's how I found one so quick ;)

was really psyched to see these as I've got an almost finished body and neck in my closet (that I and my bass instructor from college built) that is my Lee Sklar tribute bass with double P p/ups

so to see this Blacktop coming out I was excited!!..... AND STILL AM :D

the D and G are thin when the bridge P is solo'd because that half is waaay too close to the bridge BUT! the blend of tones you can get out of it are great, albeit a bit confusing

We all know what to expect with a P, or a J or a PJ or even a P with a Bucker but 2 Ps (or the "Double Zeke" as my son and I like to call it) is wild, it's got all the characteristics of a P when the neck is favoured but varying amounts of tightness in the E depending on how hot the bridge P is run. and when both are full up it still gives that scooped/phased J sound but thicker and more to a P Bass purists liking :)

so in short, what I'm trying to say is that go plug one in!! they are fun.

will try to get some audio happening in the coming week(s)

cheers guys.
