Ah, my collection is complete! Behold my Twin '72 Jazzes!

Image

The Lake Placid Blue jazz on the left is a prime example of a well babied Jazz. It is a refin, from what I have learned from it's history it started life as LPB than strip to natural. Than it was refinished back to LPB using the same paint Fender uses. The neck and all the hardware are in great condition. It obviously did not see as much action as my new Sunburst '72!

The Sunburst on the right I just got. This is a prime example of a bass with Major Mojo! Nothing like a REAL Fender Road Worn! Both basses are light, but the Sunburst is only 8.9 lbs! Not bad for a 70's Fender.

They both sound amazing. I think the Sunburst is a tad warmer, but they both nail that classic Fender sound. Playability, both are excellent! The LPB one has amazing fretwork and I have the action nice and low. The Sunburst needed just a little tweaking, but I have it playing real nice (had to shim the neck just a little bit).

But now the hard part.....which one do I take to the gig! :?:

I personally think that the 3TS is absolutely awesome looking.
I remember seeing it for sale on TB.

I got your answer,TAKE'EM BOTH!! , But if you want seeing how you have two but can only play one why not give one to me ? What are you gonna do with two of the exact same bass? I mean come on why be so selfish ? Tell you what I will be MORE than happy to take the one you like least, hows that for sacrifice on my end?I dont even want the best one, either of them is fine.
Zod you are a fortunate (luck has nodda to do with it) to have two really nice basses, enjoy them both in good health and feel free to will them to me when..,you know what Im sayin,I will gladly assist you in your time of need. ENJOY!

The sunburst Jazz Bass looks like a Relic Geddy Lee signature! The only differences between your bass and the Geddy Lee model are the bridge and the pickguard.

Geddy's original sunburst Jazz uses the same tort guard as your beloved axe (though I'm not certain if you're a die-hard Rush fan!).

Here is something neat. The 72 I just picked up came with the original owners manual! So I scanned it and cleaned it up. Put it in to a PDF file. Enjoy!
