I can play the P neck, I like the P style bass, but I always ended up playing the J. Hence the Power Jazz Bass Spc....P body, J neck. I love it. I've had 2 P basses in my life, both I really liked, but not enough to keep it when the offer came to sell. I wouldn't mine having a honey blond Hwy1 P though.

How about a somewhat blonde Classic? I like mine better than the H1 I had. That's not to say your likes are not important. I just want to post the Pic!!! HA!!

You're right, that was a long boring story, but a good one.

Why HG-1 now?

Nothing better than knowing that you've found what you wanted and are satisfied. Now that I have the Jazz, it's unique for certain things and the Precision is unique for certain things. To me the feel of each one is as important as the sound, it makes a difference to me. I like both necks.

Just my opinion.

You appear to have vintage taste like I do!

Yes I like vintage guitars no doubt even if they are only 5 or 6 years old. I have 3 real vintage guitars. If I would not have sold my Tele bass like a dumbass or my 76 P bass - I'd have more wouldn't I ? I am going to get pics of spare parts for the NICP Swap Meet that I think we should begin ASAP. Only thing is that I'm going on vake for a few days but I should have a lap top with me.
I'll offer up stuff and then prob make a list of things I'd like to have and Vice-versa with everyone else OR Whateever other stuff any one has-- well let's just wheel and deal. No job is too big or too small. No offer will be scoffed at. No bass part is too big or too small and always remember- Swap Meet does not rhyme with Jahosifatts.

Thanks man! The Jaco painting is in the art section of Jaco site.

I think a Hendrix is a good idea.

My fav bass EVER was my Japanese Jazz special,I lost my job some years back and had to use the neck to make a bass to sell but I did keep the body which is stripped of paint(but its a nasty looking assembly of basswood, but is now almost a pound lighter w/o a gallon of paint and coating)hoping to repaint it some day and add a sweet tele 1 piece maple on maple neck I have had for 5 years.
I have played other Jazz specials from that era and some Do have a bigger girth neck especially the ones painted black so there is a varience.
I have 2 US basses made 3 years apart One Jazz and One P-bass,other than the width at the nut the necks are close in girth, but after playing the p-bass for some time when I pick-up the Jazz its neck feels very similar to a thin Ibanez-like neck,so small variences can feel like something way more substancial when you first play it after playing even a slightly larger neck for even a short time.
