Very impressed with this one.. MIJ mid 90's... I think its nicer than the new USA basses I tried out in Guitatr Center... And less than 1/2 the price at that

Very nice. It's always good to hear someone found the right bass. You do realize you need at least three, don't you?

It looks like the handle on a Halloween noise maker. You could just spin it around and the bass plays right? Good idea.

Japan stuff is awesome no doubt about that, given the oppertunity I would choose them over MOST(not all)US models, btw is this your first bass.? if so its a good idea to either have one done or do a set-up yourself if you know how to,its pertenant to check the stability of the neck, many times people ditch older basses for reasons other than just wanting a new one.
I tell all my fellow bassists ALWAYS check the truss rod wether its new or old,see if it turns freely in both directions, and check for run out,run out is what it sounds like:the russ adjustment ran outta room to adjust, then you have to either bring it to be fixed or D.I.Y. with the addition of washers to get a few more turns on the adjuster.
Always be sure,G.C.sometimes has a guitar tech that can look at the neck or even better bring it to someone you can trust even if its just a friend who knows what to do,they I believe have a 2 week or 1 month return policy on used basses but the faster you do it the less likely they will be able to SQUIRM and WEASEL there way out of it,G.C. is a shifty co. check our site out on some of the $@!& they pull, you would'nt believe some of what they try to get away with.

Not my first bass... Truss rod works fine... It was set up just perfectly for me as it is... But I did check the truss rod... My other bass is a MIJ Precision... I have 2 now because I am more serious about playing the bass now and its good to have a backup... But I think 2 is plenty good for me...
