"I really like playing this bass, but should I get this other one I don't like as much?"

No, you should buy the one you like.

Yeah, what he said. My sentiments exactly. LOL

Since you "love" the feel and speed of the Geddy, why are you hesitant?

You bought them both? I hear ya'!

Or did you mean to say you brought both home for a test drive?

Either way, sounds fun. Enjoy the taste challenge.

I've had basses with active electronics and they were all right but then I switched to passives and love them. I have a Standard Jazz (MIM) and really like it. About a month ago I got a Geddy Lee Jazz and love it. I put some "flats" on it because of the type of music I play and the thing is FAST. This is only my opinion. The actives are nice but I prefer passives.

well everyone spent a few hours playing both the Geddy and the Am Deluxe. At this point am not sure on what one am going to keep this is so :? I think today am going to go change the strings on the geddy as they are the stock ones that came with it. Will cange over to swing bass 66 rs66ld and see what happens with that.... oh what to do.....wish i could keep both but not at this time....

Well if you want a four string go with the Geddy Lee bass. It is not that pricey and it is very nice. But if you want more choices for colors and types necks or even a 5 string jazz go with the jazz. I plan on getting a 5 string maple neck black jazz. :D
