Hi, can anyone assist. I have a Precision Serial number N2 913558, which is in P/J format but with a small push button phase switch. I can't find a circuit for it and I would like some informative background to it. Help!?! TeWirimu- New Zealand

The bass you're talking about is a Boner P-Bass, aka Precision Bass Plus, one of the first 22-fret USA-made Fender basses developed by George Blanda and Phil Kubicki. It came with Lace Sensors, TBX tone circuit and a fine-tuner "Elite" bridge.

The push-push button is a series/parallel switch which makes the neck pickup sounding like a neck-position Jazz Bass pickup. This feature can be considered as the precursor of the S-1 switching system.

Boner Precisions made between 1992 and 1993 didn't have the phase switch.

I suggest you starting a new thread in the Precision Bass discussion page.
