Being the nice guy I am, I went looking for options to fjbasse's dilemma. He wants a maple fretless Jazz Bass. Of course having heard all about Warmoth from Sabre Lane, I went there. All I can say is , WOW!

Didn't see any fretless but, there are some beautiful parts there, necks are exquisite.

Starting at $180.00, not too bad of a deal.

It's got me thinking.

Until you put a finish on it and add a nut... Now you're looking at $290 to go as cheaply as possible.
And that's for a fretless maple / maple neck...
Frets would cost extra.

Hey buddy, I think it was included. It was the first one on the page, must have been a "deal"

Tried the "Ebanol" that's used on the fretless Squiers, but didn't care for it.
The Rosewood board on the MIM fretless sounds really nice...a "woody", upright sound and feel.
I'd have to try a fretless Maple board to really compare them...I've always been a Maple board guy on my basses (and on both my Strats too), but I think I'd lean more toward the rosewood for a fretless board, based on my experience with the Jazz.

I don't think anyone makes a maple fretless, am I wrong?

Some are safer than others, it's not wise to provoke me. Bob, you are automatically on the pools, being such a regular player, I always reserve at least six squares for you. A lot have people have made a lot of money on these moves. (They all float)

Actually, there are three new pools started as we speak, shoot, every time he gets on line a new pool starts.

I'd like to invite him down to see how cool and quiet it is down here but, he's bringing in all kinds of people to play the pools!
