I am looking for a replacement for my 2003 j deluxe four string. 2 of the tuning keys "under screws?" fell out and were lost, i need to find some screws that will fit, does anyone have any tips. I have already been to all the local shops and none had the screws that fit, (or so they said) One of the shops said they could replace the keys for me.. but the keys are still good.
here is a pic of the missing part, I don't want to buy new tuning keys, they still work well, just need this screw...

Try emailing consumerrelations@fender.com and ask about if they will sell you the screws or knows someone who will.

Those tuners are for sale at my usual parts place for just under $29 each which would be the last resort if Fender can't give you a lead on the screws.

At every setup I check all screws and nuts. Amazing how many I find loose from the headstock to the end strap button. I check EVERY screw. I think a Leprechaun comes out at night and loosens them. But seriously, of course it is the vibration that does it. When tightening up loosened screws do NOT over-tighten them as that boogers out the hole! I do what I call a "ROLL TIGHTEN" procedure using the chromed barrel of the screwdriver instead of the fat plastic grip and roll it tight. When my finger slips on the chromed shaft, I stop.

So even if your post is non-productive for you, it serves to remind people to check all screws every so often. At a minimum every screw and nut should be checked at every setup.

Due to the low frequency vibrations incurred, screws on a bass are like your teeth. Ignore either and they will go away. Keep up with things and you will have a gorgeous smile and all your screws. I could say, you have a screw loose, but I won't. I am very sorry you can't find the screws. They are part of the TUNERS. I would think they would have put some LOC-TITE on them at the factory, but then again...they want to sell more tuners later to people who don't tighten screws every so often. Vicious isn't it?

Yes-- I've gone thru alot of basses. The most common loose screws are in the headstock-- the nuts on top mostly and then the screws in the gear. Nice one BD.

OR GO TO A MUSIC STORE,ASK TO PLAY A BASS LIKE YOURS AND STEAL THEM! NO.. Just Joking,we bassists are proud people, only stealing when absolutely no other choice! NO..again just kidding(or not  )I saw a couple of people steal a BadA$$ bridge right off a Geddy-Lee bass that was out on the floor of a music store, they cut the strings with a pliers, busted out a mini screwgun and went to town.they got their plate number but who knows...
