Welcome to the forum! You will need a new case, bass is bigger. You will need a new amp. I don't believe in playing a guitar amp for your bass. Different subs, Bass subs are heavier, bigger/thicker magnet. What tips are you looking for? Same as guitar, learn as much as you can. Scales are similar, different positioning as you go up and down the frets to dif't strings. Good luck.

PS. there is a Squier forum too that we bass players frequent on here :)

Thanks, I'm wicked excited I always liked bass. One day I was listening to Longview by Green Day and thought I should play one thing lead to another and instead of playing guitar in my band I'm playing bass(maybe guitar sometimes I'm lead singer too) and watching the bass player of The Dropkick Murphys live was really awe inspiring.
