I have a ’75 Jazz, three Bolt on micro tilt neck with a maple fingerboard. My question to anyone out there is. How do you or can you prevent the frets from bunching up past the twelfth fret? Is it something due to age, use, climate, or the design of those basses? I've never had a problem with mine and I've owned it a long time. The reason I ask is because a friend of mine had to have the neck on his ’75 three bolt on maple Jazz reworked because of that problem. Is this issue common among older Fenders and is it more common among maple or rosewood fingerboards?
