I agree 100% with P Bass Bob's technical advisor about the Badass ll bridges. It's war . I used to be a believer. But over many years and many Badass ll bridges I have seen the light of the string break angle over the saddle. It's all in the ears or what's left of them. I no longer fork out dough for Badass bridges. I'm ridin' that horse thru a desert with no name. It feels good to be out of the rain.

I like the white with the blue, when the finish is sunburst I think the white takes away too much. I can't say I'm unhappy with the bridge on my Jazz, it just looks so flimsy. I'm in the process of ordering the parts to re-do my Precision and have seen a lot of interesting things at Guitar Parts Resource.com including some decent looking bridges.

Bob, what does your guy recommend?

Pbassbob, can't you go with the BadAss III then? BadAss III has the string thru option. I think it's en vogue to not like the BadAss bridges right now. I do in any case like the HMV bridge too. I think I have accepted that there are people that don't like the BadAss bridge regardless and people that do. The people that do are into either it looks good or believe what the marketing has said, it gives better tone. I am skeptic about the latter, but I do like the looks. I've learned about the BadAss II from '88 when I got into bass, and my hero (still) Steve Harris has one on his blue Fender P. So I always said one day I'll have a Fender Bass with a BadAss bridge. I've not regretted it yet :)

gotcha. I think brotherdave had issues with being unable to move the screws also. I've been lucky not to have any issues with it I guess.
