And why aren't you in bed? Five AM comes mighty early. Your poor pup has to go outside.

He's already gotten her irked at me, so I don't have much to lose. :D

Beer is always welcome...I do believe that malt, barley, and hops constitute the basic food groups...but what on earth did I miss?

In California there is a brewery called Lagunitas and one of their seasonal beers is Cappuccino Stout. It is a stout brewed with coffee. I always said that if they could add pot and tobacco to it it would be the perfect beverage.

There are certain people that I reserve squares for. You're always allocated six squares, I know you're good for it. :D This last pool was $380.00. Of course they vary, depending on participation, type and time constraints.

Bass as a prize? HHHHMMMMMM, sounds like a good idea.

Lot's of activity, can you feel the electricity in the air? There's gonna be some buying, selling and trading coming up soon. Hurry and get your squares.

Good one Rev J, how's that new bass doing?

You've got to play to win!

It's doing great. Mostly I've been doing workout type stuff on it to get my hands and chops back in working order.

I did bring it to the studio where I intern the other night and helped somebody who was setting up an overdub space test his signal chain. It sounds amazing. Recorded it has that modern cleanness from the 18 volt electronics. With both pickups going it has a great fat slap tone, and with the bridge pickup soloed it is very articulate and has that classic horn like midrange "honk". The action is good and low making 2 handed tapping a breeze. The low end sounds big and meaty and the high C string crystal clear. Even though the neck is wide the asymetrical profile makes it really comfortable. Also given the Jazz basses reputation for being heavy instruments I was really impressed by how light this one was. It seems to be maybe 2/3rds of the weight of the Washburn that I was playing before which is great given my back issues.

Rev J

Rev,

Glad to hear your new bass is all you hoped for. It was worth the wait.

For all the rest of you, here's some cheese to go with all the whine.

Did someone mention my name? Hhhmmmmmm, it was that bad Sabre again, wasn't it. Bob having four legs and a tail was a mean thing to say. It doesn't make him a bad person.

Now,what would you like to say? Don't be shy, cat can't have your tongue, It's already spoken for!

That was just me in the yard, I can be in anybody's yard.

Don't forget about reverb. We had a 65 Galaxy that had factory reverb 6x9's.

Remember how the old reverb used to pop when you turned it on?
