I'm looking for a new jazz bass. I've played 5-string for the last 2 years and I just don't like it, so I'm trading it in. In any of the p-bass forums I've look in people say the '50s classic p-bass is one of the best p-basses that fender is currently making. I was just wondering if the same goes for the Jazz, or should I just get the highway one. And I know some people are going to suggest the American Standard, but I'm not going to spend that kind of money and I find them a little boring. The '60s Classic and Highway One both have a very unique look, plus I love that grease bucket tone circuit in the Highway One. Any opinions would be helpful.
