The pickup description in the specs list is not identical to that of any other model that I see.

Exactly which pickups are in the H1 right now? MIA? MIM? Are they on any other model? :?:

No parts lists are currently on the site I can find.

Many thanks for a definitive answer!

I think they're based on MIA's

http://www.fender.com/products/search.p ... 0131800300

And here is a parts list for the Highway One.

And googling part number 0058358000 shows it is MIM.

Oh well, trying to help. Quick search.

Have you contacted Fender?

Calling Fender Customer Service is the act of a desperate and doomed man!

Someone else did, though, and they told him that they were back to the same MIM Vintage in the "'70s Classics."

I do wish Brad would light them up about getting current parts lists on the support site. They're YEARS out of date.

It's the same pickups in the MIM classic 60's (and maybe 70's) bass, and I believe the same ones in the new American Special bass. I think they're called the "Standard Vintage" pickups or something of that sort. They sound more midrangy than the standard pickups, with a lot of emphasis in the low mids.
