I have a 60th anni. jazz bass in c.a.r. on order since February, i guess i can forget about it.Some folks at Fender head office have told me during the year to be patient, another said no more would be available. It would be nice if someone who answers the phone actully knew about important things like this. This is meant as a constructive comment, and hopefully will help the status of our questions and concerns.

I've been playing a 60th Anniversary Jazz for over a year now, and I have to say that I'm really not that satisfied with it. But first off, the bass guitar is beautiful too look at. I have pretty much worn off the Amercian flag on the pickguard, and am thinking of taking off the original pickguard and saving it. The silver case looks just awesome too. But I wold never think to take that case on a gig. It would be ruined in no time. Now, back to the J Bass. The thing that bugs me most is the way the neck doesn't quite match to the body. There isn't a smooth transition. Every time I play it my finger reaches down for that imperfection, and it drives me crazy. I've checked other anniversary basses, and it is not on any others. The other thing that bugs me is the sound level frops of on the G string around the 8-11 frets. I guess I just need to bring the thing in and get is set up again. So make sure you get it set up right away, and don;t wait as long as I have. I'm sure I'll have to pay a lot to get it set up properly.

Jag 58, Oh okay. May want to try the Guitar Center in L.A. or Elderly Instruments in E. Lansing Michigan for a used one. Good luck and keep us posted.

I am happy that the dealer received your 50th anniversary Jazz Bass. Post a picture if you can. I noticed you are from Ontario. The only store I know up that way is the 12th Fret. Is that where you bought it? :)
