My vintage amp finally went to that big jam in the sky and now I need a replacement. I have my choices narrowed down. If you own one of these, please comment on how you like it, problems you've had, etc. Thanks in advance for participating.

And the contestants are:
Marshall MB150
Rumble 175
Ampeg BA115ST
Acoustic B200
GK MB115 200w

For me, it would be between The Fender and the Acoustic. I'm a fan of both.

Did you mean the Rumble 150? Still a good choice. Same price.

Just like buying a bass, try them all if you can, you've given yourself a pretty tough decision.

Good luck.

At the church I play for, we use the Acoustic B200, and I have to say, it does it's job well. I love the eq, notch, gain controls.. It really lets you dial in your sound. And the thing can put out a pretty big sound! We usually keep the actual amp volume pretty low, and use the built-in DI to run through the house for a nice balanced sound. It sounds great with pedals, too... My only complaint is that the thing is pretty dang heavy, but we fixed that by putting on some casters, and now it's fine...

Overall, it's a great amp. And it's relatively inexpensive to boot..

I have the Ampeg and I like it so far. I really like the 5 position switch to easily move the sound around on the fly. I've only had it 3 months so no problems at all. I compared it to a Mark Bass before buying it and, while I liked the "feel" of the Mark bass better, I couldn't justify the price difference. I also played on the Rumble before buying and, at least for my style, liked the Ampeg much better than the Fender.

Seriously look into the GK MB212. 2x12 speakers, 500W and only 37 lbs! My main rig which consists of a Carvin B1500 Head (1900W) and two B210 Neo (2x10) Avatar cabinets has not been out of the house in a while! This GK is one awesome combo!

This is a clip from last weekend using the GK and my Sadowsky.

Oh did I mention, only 37 lbs! GK hit a home run with this amp!

I'd go for the Fender, don't know rumbles that well but I refuse to part with my 2004 100W Bassman even though it has no purpose to me I LOVE its tone. Second I'd go for the Ampeg, though cliché it's a great choice. Although if your buying Viet Nam made Ampeg ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS buy the extended warranty. They're total garbage build quality, great sound though. I had a BA 210 for less than year that had to be turned into store credit because it couldn't be fixed. If your doing Ampeg, consider getting a good DI should it ever fail on you during a gig.

+1. And you sound great on that clip Ken.

I have an Ampeg BA115 for home practice. I really like it, though I like the Ampeg sound. It's around 70lbs IIRC. It's almost 4 years old and have had no problems with it, granted it just sits in the bass room.

For SMALL and LIGHT here are some ideas.
Line 6 Studio 110 ( I got one and like it a lot)
Ibanez Promethean (I want one badly)
MarkBass CMD121P (I preferred the Line 6 for price and features, your mileage may vary.)

The ONLY Fender Bass amps I'd consider are BASSMAN TV's or the RUMBLE 350 with 2 ten inch speakers. Now that RUMBLE is a good amp for the money, but get the extended warranty!

ALSO regarding the ACOUSTIC....the KUSTOM is pretty much the same amp built in the same plant by the same people on different days...and the warranty is WAY better on the KUSTOM. Same amp...different cosmetics, better warranty and about the same price.
