Hi, I'm new to this forum so I hope I dont mess up. I just bought some Rotosound 45-105 77 flatwounds for my Highway one. I bought long scale which should be for scale 32-34" (the bass being 34"), I believe, but when fitting them the G,D, and A string fit just right, but the E string is too long. The E string when tuned up had the 'speaking' part of the string just going on to the tuning peg.
The Rotosound website says that this will cause the string to break and they will accept no blame if it does.

Has any one else had this problem, if so what is the solution?

All the best, Bob

It shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the reply Bathead. Do you mean that it shouldn't happen or that if it does happen its not a problem
