Good day good people of Fender Community, I'd just like to ask your opinion, if it's worth to buy a Fender Roadworn Jazz Bass?

I just don't see buying a pre worn. If you beat up your bass or guitar it's personal. You added your personality to it, not a factory destruction job.

I keep my bass in pristine condition. My '87 is my oldest bass, bought new, it's been gigged so much, yet I keep it pristine. You can see scratches and dings on it, one of the tuners is slightly bent, and you can tell up close it's an older bass. So I like my stuff looking nice, if I can, new(er). I don't think it's worth it for me to spend the money on pre destroyed bass. That's me tho EC.

Call me anal retentive, but I'm a person who thinks a new bass should look new. I really don't like the idea of paying extra for a fake worn instrument,
A lot of fans of RW's say, "But the bass is an excellent instrument tone and playability-wise, you should try one and you'll change your mind."
No , I won't. I don't care how well it plays or sounds, I can get just as good an instrument that doesn't look like crap without paying extra just to get that "vintage" used and abused look. SO, IMO, no, it's not worth it.
I vote "NO".

I agree with what you say.. a new bass should look new..
that i couldn't afford for a 62 RI to be used live... I'd like to give the RW a little try..

If you like the look and you have played it and like the sound (most important) just buy it and enjoy it. Or you can buy a "new" new one and wait 15 years for the look. It's going to be yours so get what you want now and don't overthink it.
