Hi all

I have a American Deluxe Jazz Bass V 2009 model, I want to get the 2010 electronics into my bass. New model has a passive active switch new pickups etc.
Where can i get the upgrade kit? I searched the site but found nothing.

Any suggestions would help, thanks

See your neighborhood Fender dealer and trade for the new model. Or buy the parts based on the parts list and diagram and swap them out which might be more trouble and expense. I'd just trade if you like the newer electronics so much better. There is no parts KIT. You have to order each individual part. Probably would be cheaper, faster and simpler to trade.

If you are going to replace the electronics....go a step further.

Put a Sadowsky preamp in it! I did that with an American Deluxe Jazz FMT and man.....did it make a HUGE difference. The bass absolutely came alive and sounded awesome, and with the stock Fender pickups.

So for the preamp with the VTC, and all Sadowsky preamps have a active/passive push/pull pot.

I got an Audere Audio electronic kit that fits right into the cavity of the Jazz. No sodering of new pickups, just put the insert in and screw your pickup wires to the post and you are ready to go. It is awesome. Audere Audio. You won't be disappointed, I wasn;t.
