Does anyone here own or have played an Aerodyne?
Whats your opinion on the playability and build quality?

I think for the money that you would bet much more bang for the buck if you bought either a Jaguar, or even the new Squier Jaguar which sports the same pickup configuration.

As far as I know, the Aerodyne has a basswood body. I'm not a big fan of this wood as it is soft and prone to damage. Having said that I should mention that the MM Bongo bass has a basswood body and those are not cheap basses. Supposedly they chose basswood for it's sound qualities, which should always be a consideration when buying a bass.

I'd go with the Jaguar myself, or the Reggie Hamilton 4-string. Another bass in the same price range with much better features.

I have an aerodyne and it's great, wonderful build quality, great tone. And it can cope with any style of music I throw at it! I love it :D

I've played the Aerodyne, great bass. For the price I think it's great. I've always liked them, especially the PBass ones, too bad they're discontinued.

I owned/played an Aerodyne for a few years. It was my main player. A good bass and never an issue. I sold it and wish I never had! A seriously great neck and nice tone with a lot of flexibility.
