I just recently bought an Aerodyne Jazz bass and I love it. However, Today I put new strings on it for the first time and The A string is buzzing against the 1st Fret like mad. It's really annoying. Is it possible that this is an issue with the Nut groove being too Deep?

I'm Kinda annoyed because this was a brand new bass....Also, I adjusted the truss Rod the day I got it completely Fine, but a week later I was no longer happy with it, so i tried to adjust it again. But this time the Truss rod seems totally unresponsive, i can give the nut like 5 turns and nothing will happen.

Also, It seems like my Tone pot has absolutely NO effect on the tone of the instrument, although it is working electronically, as i've tested it with a meter and it's working fine. anyone else have this problem?

Please help, I'm just hoping this isn't gonna need sending back to the shop.

Thanks, Chris

Seeing as you've tried most avenues of investigation I'd suggest taking it back to the shop and get it checked out and/or repaired. For free, of course.

Please tell me you're not turning the nut that many times at once. You may have voided your warranty by doing that.
1/4 turn at a time at the most.

I did this to prove that the truss rod wa not doing it's job. Before I did this it was doing nothing. I'd give it a quarter turn, leave it an hour, try again. No luck. must've spend several days doing this, before I gace up and decided to see if making extreme adjustments would make any difference.
