I was wondering why some Fender jazz basses from a same serie and made on a same year have differents tones of sunburst finish and sometimes some of them have the black contour larger than others.

That's normal?

I know that there's 3-color sunburst and 2-color sunburst.

But look, they both are 3-color sunburst and 62 reissue made in Japan.

Why do they look so different? (I know that the pickguard is different, but I tought the tone of the sunburst should be the same?)

Human hands make sunbursts....they are all like snowflakes......different. different paint batch, different employee, made on a Friday..aging....a host of variables solid colors don't really have.

+1 on the snowflake comparison MusicFox!

Also sunbursts didn't always come out as intended in the early days and often got painted over with opaque colors when it didn't look right. Probably the placement of more black would hide imperfections in grain.
