I'd like to see either a John Tribute Precision (modeled after his, "Frankenstein") or a Tim Commerford Jazz with all his mods he puts on his.

 This may be unheard of (and I will have to shoot it someday for y'all to see) but I am also unheard of in most parts. My signature bass is an American 3 tone sunburst alder active 5 string fretless with a samarium cobalt noisless bridge pickup only and a w/b/w/b pickguard that is solid. No neck pickup. 3 band eq w/active-passive toggle. High mass bridge, tusc nut, strings are 7250's or 8250's NPS and including through body or through bridge stringing choice.

Shoot it now. We want to see! I'm especially interested in that bridge pick-up. Oh, and I like Funkymunky's idea for a Commerford-mod Jazz.

The bridge pickup is a Fender issued SCN; the same as is installed on the Jazz American Deluxe series - noiseless stacked 'bucker. I picked them up from a dealer in NY.
Have shot pics this afternoon on break and are at photoshop for development.
I use old an 35 mm SLR - not into digital, yet. Will post it here. Will post other Fender basses I have and shot on "post your basses" also. :D

Aw, cool! Thanks for taking the time to post some pictures, David. She's lovely. The (perhaps unintentional) reflection of that winter tree on the pick guard was a nice touch, too. :o

Thanks for the compliments. Sings real nice, too. And by the way, The controls are Volume/mid/stacked treble/bass.

From what I've seen and researched of him (I had to do a school project on John Entwistle) he started off with Fender Precisions and a Jazz, then took about 5 precisions and made them into one, called "Frankenstein". Then he moved onto Gibsons, then Alembics. During the 80's he found the exotic woods of Alembics to detune in diiferent climates, so he asked Warwick and Status Graphite to make him a bass of his design with graphite necks. He went with the Status all graphite bass until the sad day that he died.
