Who agrees that there should be a few more color options for ash bodies, and the option for black or MOP block inlays on maple boards?

YES! This is what I've been waiting for! I love the block inlay and the high mass bridge with all the great "Deluxe" appointments.

Only problem is, the color option that I really want is not available. Will it be in future runs of this bass? Is that anything that can be known until Fender decides to release that information? In other words, would Fender say "yeah, wait till next year to buy one cuz the color you want will come out then"? Or is it possible for me to contact Fender directly to see about getting the slightly different finish option that I'm looking for?

What I'd like to see in this bass is the Ash Body with 3-tone sunburst (or natural ash), with maple fingerboard but with Mother of Pearl (or even abalone) block inlay instead of the black they are using on the maple boards, and cream binding.

I'll be glad to get whatever color I can, lol.

I'm not a fan of wine color, but I love the transparent finish on my 05 sunset orange, ash bodied jazz.

I know the wine color will grow on me.

I believe that this version of the jazz bass is the pinnacle of the production pieces... I can't wait to get mine!!!
