What is the Bar Code # under the front pick up(0055219-999)? I am trying to determine what bass I have since it has an after market neck I have no serial # . I was told it's an American but I want to make sure it is and which one. I have all the #'s of the neck cavity, pick ups, pots, but I can't seem to find any info to match the #'s I have. Can someone help? Thanks guy's and gals.

You have a SUNBURST American Standard Jazz Body sticker. If you go to this Fender support page: http://support.fender.com/diagrams/basses/0192400_02A/SD0192400_02APg3.pdf you will find there the parts list for the AMERICAN STANDARD JAZZ BASS. If you scroll down you'll see on this parts list that 0055219xxx indicates the part number for "Body, Am. Std. J-Bass, Sunburst." The final "999" part of your code is to identify and track that particular sunburst body during production and the "999" has no relation to the final serial application once the instrument is assembled.

Not really. Sorry. However it is possibly a Fender neck as most aftermarket necks will have the name or logo of the manufacturer and a "Licensed by Fender" stamp instead of a person's name on the part of the neck mounted to the body. The logos are only visible upon removal of the neck while the name stamps are often at least partially visible. Sometimes the stamps get smeared or not applied evenly and are hard to read though.

The numbers and some photos of them would be helpful.

Hi! I am new on this forum. I am from Brazil and i just got myself a used bass guitar from eBay. It is supposed to be a Mexican made Fender Jazz Bass 60th aniversary edition, year 2006. It haves this same barcode under the neck pickup, this barcode sitcker reads MO1090683. The serial number on the neck is MZ6062572. I kindly ask your help to clarify if these numbers actually tell anything about my bass authenticity. Thank you in advance!

I also have a Fender body I am trying to identify. it is a black Telecaster body with a bar code 0056186-606. Could you please help with some info on this? There is also another bar code in the volume/ tone pot cavity which is C00599324. I bought the fully loaded body and added an american deluxe maple neck. I am selling the guitar now but the buyer wants proof that the body is an american standard, which I believe it is but don't have any proof.
