Hi , I own a 2003 highway 1 p bass in 3 tone sunburst , i changed the pick guard to a tort shell. It is a wonderful bass!!!!! and is my main bass, i also have a 60s fender jazz and a fret less jazz. As far as a investment , fender basses are not a very lucrative way to invest money!. No one can see into the future ! so all this talk of the RIGHT bass to invest in is wishful thinking! Buy it for your enjoyment , and maybe if your lucky, it will be worth some big bucks in the future.....good luck.

Hello , I paid 629.oo U.S dollars in 2003 from musicians friend. At one time i put a leo quan badass 2 bridge on like the upgraded highway 1s.....Decided it didn't make any difference, only made it heavier!
