so im was wounder if there any bug with the highway one series , and i didn't found any bug so my question is: if there is no bug and no many highways thats mean that in 20-30 years the value of them will grow?

Does it mean yes or no?

I have never owned a Highway One but I don't see why they should not increase in value over time, given that any instrument loses value immediately after purchase. They are made in the USA; they have nitrocellulose finish; the basses have graphite-reinforced necks - what's not to like? This is a genuine question as I don't know where the cost savings have been made, apart from the lack of a hard case.

The Highway One is a working mans bass meant to be played. The features are a big upgrade to the Standard series with the Leo Quan bridge, graphite reinforced neck, and grease bucket tone control. Fender was able to make a professional grade bass at a modest price by limiting the options thus keeping costs in check. A bass like the Highway one is a bass meant to be played not collected. If a person is looking to collect basses or guitars the Highway One really isn't the model for that.

To put it even more honestly I seriously doubt it. The Highway One series are a sorta joint effort by Fender USA and Fender Mexico. Where as the Fender American Standard series are made entirely in the USA and have lots more option choices. The Highway One series however is one of the last of its breed. A midpriced bass more or less made in the USA (minus the nitro finish which I believe is done south of the border) as compared to other companies whose midprice basses are made overseas such as Sterling by Musicman, Tribute series by G&L. If your looking for a bass that will hold its value get the Fender MIA. If you want a bass with a lot of the features of more expensive basses do what I did and get a Highway One play it and play it and play it and don't worry what its future value will be. You might get so good and become famous and still be playing a Highway One and then how much will it be worth? LOL

I don't think they will increase in value as much as the Am. Std. may. Time will tell.

They really are one of the most under rated of any of the American Fenders.

I could not agree more. The best value in American made bass guitars. I love mine wouldn't trade it for anything.
