Isn't the Feder Jazz a relatively new thing for Geddy? I mean didn't he play a Rickenbacker like forever?

Saw Robert Trujillo in concert with Metallica last night and one of his basses was a white Fender P-Bass. Was pretty sweet to see. :twisted:

Actually, Geddy has used several different basses over the years ( Steinburgers, Wals, Rics and Fenders ) However
back in the mid 70's he bought the black '72 Jazz Bass that he currently uses pretty much all the time ( he does use other basses during a show, primarily JB's ). He bought the black bass at a pawn shop for $200. In fact , he uses the jazz on the song Tom Sawyer. It was in the mid nineties ( the Test for Echo era ) that he started using the black Jazz Bass pretty much all the time. Hope this helps.
