The two I am naming are pretty different as far as the type of music they play but one is Geddy Lee and the other is Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles.

Les Claypool was the first one to make me listen to bass lines more than the guitar's.

TIM FOREMAN from SWITCHFOOT. He used to play a P bass a lot but now he plays that big ole sunburst thing. I love the way he plays. Really stood out in Switchfoot's earlier albums back when they were just three guys. He's the first who really made me listen to the bass lines. I also like Pat Seals from Flyleaf. Really talented. Love those fast poppy bass lines. Pretty sure he uses a five string jazz bass but not sure about that. All I know is that both these guys rock whether they got a Fender or not!

I like Steve Harris from Iron Maiden. Geddy Lee from Rush and I think Jason Newsted, was in Mettalica, plays a fender.
