My dad's was f*** 'em if they can't take a joke! :P Seriously, though, there is some truth to that.

I've been for most of my life saying, Damn it! But lately I have a more consistent one starting. "Fukk world peace, I want to push the button!"

Well, that was certainly a distinct reality back during the Cold War days. I even remember doing those useless duck and cover drills when I was a kid, although they didn't do that in the mid to late 80's, when I was in middle school and high school. I guess they must have stopped that in the late 70's.

We did those drills in the 50's, and 60's. They took them pretty serious too, back then. I got into some serious fights with a Russian last name. It toughened me up quick, and after a while nobody wanted to fight me. I learned to give no mercy, and to all out go for the throat with extreme prejudice. Oh well.

I'm sure you picked up a few skills in the service, as well. Still, it was totally friggin' ridiculous, when you think about it, but not a lot has changed, with the exception there's a different enemy these days, I suppose.

You never know who your enemy is, at any time. Unless you're on R&R, you're on duty. Maybe not alert status, but should be ready to go on a moments notice.

Yeah, and I imagine sleep with one eye open, and have eyes in the back of your head.

Something like that if possible.

I'm still poking along with my Hartke stuff. And loving it.

They actually have package deals for that head and cab combo over at AMS, for $854.99. I'm not sure how much of a discount that is, since I didn't do the math on each individual piece.

Wow, that's cool. I just put it together, as it seemed to be a good combination, for me any way. $400. for the TX600, and $500. for the HD210 cab. As per Sam Ash. About $45. off. It's a stout playing compact half stack..

That's the same price that AMS has, so you got the same deal. I wonder if Hartke has anything to do with that, since there is this thing with minimum advertised pricing that companies have with shops?

I use 2 combo amps. A Fender Rumble 150 and an Ampeg BA210. Both are amazing amps. It just depends on how I feel which one goes to the gig.

Sounds good. 8) I have a Rumble 350 combo, from that same generation, and it's an excellent amp. I mostly use it for backup/home rehearsals though, since I also have an Orange Terror Bass 1000 head, and Fender 4 x 10" cab, which is my main rig. Although, it seems I've been using the Rumble a lot more lately.

The Rumble 350 Combo is good amp. Maybe a bit easier to move around as one piece also.
