They're now starting to heal up, since it's warmer weather, although today was pretty cold and rainy. I thought I was done with wearing my jacket this year, but the weather had other plans today. At least it's not 17 and snowing. That was last month or so. :P

Other than the occasional cold fronts coming through down here, some of the windy, rainy days get a bit cool, and a type of rain jacket fills the bill.

I imagine by now, it's starting to heat up pretty good down there.

Yeah, that's always a blast. We got nailed in 2011(or was it 2010 or 2009?) and lost power for a day or two. Still, it's a lot better than losing power in a blizzard, as long as it's not too hot out. We've had that happen, too. Talk about getting friggin' cold.

I never lost power in cold weather. I remember before it was a everyday thing for people to have an A/C even just in there bedroom so they could sleep. It was kinda' nasty to not have a fan going for three to for days after a hurricane came through, and knocked out the power.

In my first apartment on my own, which was some dump that was a converted garage, I didn't have an AC in there. In Florida in the summer time, that's not the most optimal sleeping situation, even with fans, but I suppose if you didn't move around too much, or were too drunk to care, it was manageable. :P

Where I lived in the early 60's, was about ten miles inland, so we didn't get a sea-breeze. So if it was still, and we didn't get any winds to speak of, it was kinda' uncomfortable.

I remember seeing old hotels in St. Petersburg (probably all gone now, or I know a few are torn down or heavily remodeled) when I first moved down there in 1978 that advertised they had air conditioning and color TV. This was some old school Florida styles. Buildings and houses put up in the 40's, 50's, etc. Before there was million dollar condos on the beach and all of that crap. In fact, I remember beach areas that had those pine trees around.

The same here on the east coast. Trails off of A1A, between the Sea Grape trees leading to the beaches. It would've killed them to leave any areas natural without buildings on them.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Oh, I know. I'm only a 6 hour drive (depending on traffic) going north to the Canadian border, but on the Atlantic Ocean (the shoreline is just down the road,) and it gets cold enough here, especially when we get those nor'easters and occasional blizzards. I can imagine getting closer to the Arctic would make that seem warm in comparison in February. :P
