Not knowing I would have the health problem, I did the right choice before hand, of getting back to the lighter, easier to move Markbass Combo, and Cab. Old men have to adjust to making it easier on themselves. No more 65 pound Super Bassman heads, and 66 pound cabs.

It's almost like a foresight.

I guess you can say that. I do know it's working out fine. The Mini CMD 121P Combo without the NY21 Cab, is 300 watts. It suits my playing with the bass setting way up, and the treble way low. The 12's are Right On!

The portability of it is also a bonus, I'd think.

The Mini CMD 121P Combo, is just over 26 lbs. Easy even for this old man to carry to another room. Image

That's the kind of thing I'm talking about that I would have gotten instead of the 2 x 10" cab, if I had it to do all over again. There was that Eden cab that's like that, too.

You can't go by me, I'm to old school about 12" speakers. 12's, And 15's were the norm back then.

As well as 18"s, which I'm looking forward to using pretty soon. I've yet to play the violin bass through that rig, so I'm very curious how that will turn out. Nothing wrong with old school, I think. 8)

18's Back then, really didn't catch on until Acoustic let loose the 360/361 Monster. They may have been other amps with the 18", but I don't remember.

Vox had the Foundation cab, which had an 18" speaker. So did Selmer, which were on the UK side of things. I guess the only 18" Fender had was the one that was the cab for the 400PS head.

I've mentioned here a couple of times. 435 watts all tube, weighed something like 90 pounds. It would have sucked to haul it to gigs, but I imagine you could shake the foundation with it.

90 Pounds wasn't really to bad for a 435 watts tube head.

True, especially being all tube like that. Now they have amps you can carry in your back pocket.

Those little ones have the power too. The ones that aren't pocket rockets that I've had, were fairly small. Markbass, TC Electronics, GK all had power, and sounded good.
