When and where did you get this amp?

I played through one a couple of days ago with an Am. Std. Precision they had on the wall. It sounded so good, I had to bring my Precision with the Nylons, down to hear it through it. It played so smooth with the HyDrive Neo 15. So, I traded in the GK/Ampeg for the Hartke KB15. I definitely like it better than any other 15" Combo. It was a good deal all around.

You were still making payments on the GK/Ampeg rig, or did you own that outright?

I had those outright. The Hartke is free and clear also.

So are you liking this set up better than the GK and Ampeg 12"s?

Yeah, I do. The HyDrive 15 with the aluminum does fine at any volume. Paper 15's I've played through didn't have the clarity at lower volumes. The aluminum seems to compensate for that. The EQ on this is simple, and direct to the point for settings. It's a good one for my playing, and easier to move around at 35 pounds. Any amp that can satisfy my picky ear for what sounds good with a Precision, is tops for me. That Precision does sound fantastic through the KB15. We were talking back and fort about them for a while, I just got around to trying the KB15. I do like the KB15 over the KB12, both were there, so I tried both.

I have to say a P Bass does sound really good through a 15" speaker. How's the power with this thing? You shake the walls yet? :P

I did the other day. The KB15 has power. You're right on about the Precision sound going good through a 15". It's a nice good clear sound, even with the Bass Tone set as low as I play.

Does it have an extension speaker, or only the built in speaker to use?

You can unplug the internal speaker, and plug in an extension cab.

I'm liking this KB15 more than any other Combo I've had.

That's good. How's the weight on that thing? I imagine it's pretty light, considering it's Class D.

It's 35 pounds, a class D, with it's Neo HyDrive 15". The KB15 is a wood cab too.
