Yeah, that Orange cab would have been perfect for my Orange head, since that's what it was designed for. The Orange is pretty compact. Roughly the size of a lunch box, or something like that.

That sounds cool. Look forward to seeing the pictures. 8)

How about this one. I ran the Am. Std. Jazz through it today, and it was a fine sound. Tomorrow I'm going to do the Geddy Lee Jazz through it.

I should have done this earlier, going back to a 2X12 cab.

Yeah, sometimes it takes awhile to figure out what you really want to do. I've found that to be the case on more than one occasion. Then, of course the regrets you shouldn't have had done it in the first place. :P

I kept pretty much with the 4X10 cabs. I'm glad I finally went back to the 2X12 cab. As good as the Am. Std. Jazz sounds through 2X12 cab, the Geddy Lee Jazz is magnificent. A real bone shaking sound, using the Vintage Channel.

Would you say you like the 12"s over the 10"s then?

Absolutely. I prefer the 2X12 over the 4X10. The louder I turned up the SVT-212AV, the deeper bass tone sounded better. At least in this style cab. I know I said it before, but it's a shame Fender doesn't turn out the Bassman 2X12 cab.

Yeah, they should, but who knows if and when they would. At least you have a really good one to use.

You're right Paul. I wasn't going to wait and see if Fender was going to do the 2X12 cab. And here again, I do like the 4 ohm cab. If they were to turn out one, probably it would be an 8 ohm.

Sounds like the ideal situation to me. 8)

I was curious about the blue color of the speaker cover, and how it would look with the Super Bassman. I like it. I can change it to a black cover, but I figure, why bother.

It looks pretty good from the pic you've posted.

I think it does too. It isn't as dark of a blue as I thought it was going to be. The colors of the Super Bassman's cloth, and the Amp's grill cloth are fairly similar. It's alright.Image

Yeah, it's pretty close.

I'm not going through the hassle to change out the grill cloth when it looks ok, and is somewhat close to the style of the other small cover on the head.
