We were living like the Flintstones for a few days. The power was out for a few days.

In Florida? Man, that sucks! At least it's not July, yet. What happened?

Wilma was a rare Gulf Hurricane, so it tracked from the west. One thing that saved us, somewhat, it was late in October, so we had a cool front come through, so it was a lot better having the power out for a few days then, and not in say August. Like Andrew. The biggest problem, Wilma was so large, it it was in the Gulf, and in the Atlantic at the same time. When it got into the ocean the warmer waters kicked it up to a cat 3 storm. So as it was over a great part of the state, it intensified.

Oh, I thought you meant in the past few days. You know, I don't even remember that one. I was living in Rhode Island at that point. We had a hurricane rip through here in 2009 (I think?) and lost power for like a day and a half, maybe two. The worst was that blizzard we had in 2011. We had no power for 36 hours and it was 10 degrees in the house and snow piled high everywhere. Talk about friggin' cold! :P

I don't know what's worse, trying to stay warm, or chill a bit.

I have to say, since I've lived in both environments, I'd rather deal with the heat, even though that can be rough, too.

I believe that's my best choice too.

I'm still using the Super Bassman head, but I switched out the Bassman 410 Neo for the Ampeg SVT-212AV cab.

You know, I had a feeling you might do that. Where are you going to get one from?

Sam Ash, it should be in tomorrow. I played a Bassman 100 T through an Ampeg SVT-112AV that was great. So with the SVT-212AV, and the Super Bassman, it should be a good setup. It's a 4 ohm that I prefer overall.

Oh yeah, double the speakers and three times the power. 8)

That should be a good setup. I wouldn't mind having a 2x12" cab instead of the 10"s on top of the 18" cab, but it would have to be an 8 ohm one for that. Still, one of those by themselves wouldn't be too shabby. The funny thing is Orange actually makes a 2x12" cab that's isovented, but it was too expensive for me at the time. Their stuff isn't cheap, including the cabs.

I was looking at the 2X12 Orange. It's a different setup on the placement of the 12's in the cab.

Yeah, it's that isovent (they call it isobaric, Ampeg called it isovent with theirs) setup. The two speakers are back to back or front to front (not sure of their set up) to each other. It certainly makes it more compact. I remember the Ampeg one, since I've played through it. It had two 15" speakers in the isovent setup and two 10" speakers angled up in a compact cab. There was a hell of a lot of low end coming from that thing. It was a cool cab.

I didn't like the cab's size. It was to compact, I wouldn't be able to have fit the Super Bassman on top of it. The Ampeg showed up at almost 9:15PM. I'll unpack it tomorrow.

Yeah, that Orange cab would have been perfect for my Orange head, since that's what it was designed for. The Orange is pretty compact. Roughly the size of a lunch box, or something like that.

That sounds cool. Look forward to seeing the pictures. 8)
