Line6 HD750 head with an old 1x15 Peavy H115 cabinet. Want to upgrade cabinet to 4x10 when I get the cash to do so.

I like my little Line 6 Studio 110 combo for rehearsals and have considered getting and HD750 as a backup. How do you like it?

I like it, however if you are interested in using the Synth function, there is where an external pedal would be better. I don't use it much so I don't really care. It is just that there is not much sustain and if you do any eighth notes or triplets, it cuts out. The rest of the functions and the power is great.

I bought it because compared to Genz Benz (other brand I considered) for the price, I thought I got a good deal...

It has two speakon parallel connections in which you can either plug in one 4 ohm cabinet or two 8 ohm cabinets.

I just started playing the double bass and have a pickup and power through this amp... that too is also what I like. I was hoping not to lose the organic tone of my contrabass, I was not disappointed.

My other basses: 1977 Fender P-Bass (fretless), Just bought an upgraded 1995 4-string MIM J-Bass and have a 1996 5-string J-Bass (which I will be tearing apart for total upgrade). All sound great through this amp.

I have been playing and touring for more than 30 years and have used many different amps including Fender, Ampeg, Hartke, Mesa Booge, Acoustic, SWR, Gallien Krueger, Peavey and Eden. At one point I had a deal with Ampeg where I could buy direct from them at cost. I gave it up after 1 year because I could never get the sound I wanted. I had a Fender combo that I used for rehearsals but it sounded like crap. I now only use Eden heads and cabs. They are expensive but definitely worth it. EBS is another great amp. They are also expensive but worth it. One of the best sounds I ever had was through a 1970 Ampeg SVT with a matching SVT cab. That was in the early 1980's I would use that same setup now but the maintenance on them is too time consuming.

I have a Fender TB-1200 (or a TBP-1 and a MB-1200, depending which is cheaper) in the oven. Next up is a pair of 8 ohm SWR Goliaths.

You guys should see the prices down here in NZ. I paid the equivalent of over $1800 US for my American Standard Jazz.

I like the 2x10 cab.
I was reading that Timothy B. Schmidt from the Eagles turns the horns down on his cabs. I thinking about giving that a try, going for a more vintage sound. BTW glbass, that MIM Jass is white with a rosewood fingerboard. Its beautiful. I got to try it through a Mesa Carbine 300 combo. Great amp!!
