That set up is looking mighty mean Paul.

Hey, your's isn't too shabby either! 8) I still have two components to go, though. The replacement 8 ohm speaker for the 18" and of course, another cable. I'm thinking about just getting a Speakon to 1/4 inch cable for that one. That way, I could use the head with any speaker cab that might not have that kind of jack. There could be an occasion where I could just bring the head to some gig and they might have a cab there. It might not be optimal, but it could be necessary, or more practical.

I use the Speakon for the Ampeg rig. But I did use the Speakon to 1/4" adapter, for the Super Bassman to the 410HLF. I still have a pair of adapters I used, when a Super Bassman powered two TC Electronic 2X12 cabs. They're good to have around. 8)

You never know when they can come in handy, too.

I was surprised though, that the Super Bassman didn't have the combination Speakon/1/4" jacks onboard.

Yeah, you'd think they'd add one or two of those, considering most other bass amps have them, plus they do have them on their lower end gear.

In a way, they limit the number of players that may use the head.

I knew some players that wouldn't use a cord adapter. It had to be a one piece cord.

Yeah, players can have different discrepancies with their gear.

I really don't miss having the tube head. The SS has the power, and the tone.

If in the future I did get another tube head, I really don't know weather I'd go for a Super Bassman, or the Ampeg SVT-CL.
