That would be a good one for most gigs. And if need it, you've got that Orange / Craven to knock down some walls with.

Yeah, I'm just waiting for that EQ pedal to show up now. New strings, too.

Many many years ago when I was looking for a good bass amp, I looked at a lot of stuff and went with an Ashdown UK made ABM 500 4x10 combo. It's far from light, but then again I don't play bass in a band. I just lifted it today to dust a bit in my lil cellar studio.

I also have a SWR Cal Blonde and a few bass guitars including a Fender Am made jazz and an American made Jazz deluxe, both 4 strings. I almost would know what to do with a 5 string bass guitar.:D

I also have a lil Kala U bass that was given to me as a gift, and I dig that thing.

Sold my P bass that I have since the 80's back after bought the Jazz Deluxe. The P bass was swapped out for a Martin 00016RGT.

When I was looking at bass amps, I looked at the Ampeg SVT 300, and the Fender /Sunn 300. The guy had a 4x10 cab and a 2X15 cab to go with the Fender/ Sunn. Damn that stuff had a nice thump to it. Kind of over kill for a home studio and then again, who cares it's my home studio. The USA made Ampeg SVT 300 was sweet too.

I really found a good match of the Ampeg SVT-7PRO/SVT-410HLF.

So you think you're pretty set with an amp, then?

No doubt about it. My regular head came in, so the floor model loaner went back.

The Geddy Lee sounds great through this Ampeg setup.

That is a nice looking set up between all of that. 8)

It's doing really good! The playability of the GL Jazz is great. The neck is quick, and smooth.

That's a nice lookin' setup. I really like the looks of the GL Jazz and I was thinking about the SVT-7Pro and 410 Half at one time. Couldn't afford one new and couldn't find one used so I ended up with the Eden rig at a great price used.

I'm pretty sure I posted about my Orange amp here a while back, but here it is with my newly acquired 2x10" cabinet on top of the 18" one. Now, my rig is complete.

Another pic with my Schecter J Bass and Fred, who watches over the gear. :P

Looking good. That's a really nice setup there Paul. Congrats, and I'm glad you finally received the 2X10 cab. I think the untimely wait was worth it. 8)

Yeah, I was playing around with it for about a 1/2 hour tonight. Everything seems to be working and sounds pretty good. I also hooked up my bass EQ and chorus pedals and tweaked those around, too. I really don't need the EQ pedal as much anymore since I now have those 10"s to cover that range I had difficulty with the 18" alone, but it still gives me other tonal options. 8)
