There's a Markbass Little Mark lll Tube I'm going to look into. If I get the LM lll Tube, I'll use the regular LM lll that I have as a back up for the tube monster. They do work

Good idea :) That's kinda what I'm doing with my SWR HeadLite & Amplite & My 750X ..... The Headlite can be used with or with out the Amplite & I can use the Amplite with the 750X for extra power. :)

The LM Tube has a mute also that the LM lll doesn't, and a preamp tube, etc. It's a good idea to have it, before they stop production of an item you really like. That's happened to me so many times in the past. LM's can be run without a connection to a cab also.

I'm thinking about keeping the Markbass Little Mark lll as a back up head, and getting an Ampeg SVT-CL head, to power the HSVT-410HLF cab.

You'd definitely get that classic rock old school sound,... & enough power at 300 watts but are you up to the 80 pounds that it weighs ? :( when you say SVT CL are you referring to that model or the Heritage SVT - CL both have the same wattage & weigh about the same.

hi James, the Classic SVT-CL head is out of the plan. The Markbass/Ampeg package is working to good.

I recently picked up a used Ampeg BA-115 for half the price of a new one and I'm not disappointed. Great sounding amp for the money. I think any decent bass amp has to have 15" speakers. You just can't get the low-end with smaller speakers. Not the way I want them to sound.

Have to disagree with 15's being the only size speaker with a loaded bottom. The Ampeg SVT-410HLF is right there. Cabs do influence the tonal sound, and air movement. Not just speaker size.

I play with an amp Epifani (UL502) and a pair of cabs, an Aguilar DS112 an Epifani PS112.
Simply perfect!.

Hi FUNK REPORT, Welcome to the Forum. Epifani are pretty well rated amps. Very cool.

Same to you. If you can, post some pics of your gear.

Yep. It was about as close as a LM lll with phones, a mute, 4 ohms, able to play without connection to a cab, and watts close to the LM lll.

Yeah I've said it here before,...TC Electronic makes good innovative reliable gear. :)
MarkBass also make reliable gear,....

If I ever had to replace my SWR Rig ... both TC & MarkBass would be a consideration
especially TC Electronic.
