I don't think a lot of people have. The Beatles were and still probably are a cultural phenomenon. It's amazing how that happened to them. Talk about being in the right place at the right time in life.

Isn't that the truth,............ They really did go further than any of the four imagined. John one said, " We wanted to be famous, but not this famous." The Beatles really did change things in their time. Maybe not the world, but enough for me.

I think you can safely say there isn't anywhere in the world that hasn't been affected by them, or at least familiar with most of their music. I've read that "Yesterday" was the most recorded songs in the history of popular music, with cover versions. That's with that song alone, although technically it was just Paul McCartney. They did do the song live as a full band with him playing bass, though.

"Yesterday", was, or is a song that is played every minute of the day through out the world. It's charted by radio stations as they play it. So, somewhere in the world right now, "Yesterday" is being listened too.

I'll bet it is, besides being in a lot of karaoke joints. I actually just listened to it within the past 1/2 hour. I was listening to a live Paul McCartney album from him live in 2002.

Yeah, it's probably a given he's going to do that song live at some point or another, since it's probably one of his most famous compositions. It's kind of like Led Zeppelin going to play "Stairway To Heaven," or Jack Bruce playing "Sunshine Of Your Love," in whatever thing he was doing when he was alive. Although, Jack from what I've heard with the live material that I heard from him didn't really seem to rely on doing Cream material so much, but I did notice he did do that song the most, when he did play Cream.

He knew came to see him perform it. And, he was in the real world knowing that was the song that really put Cream over the top. Jack did "Sunshine Of Your Love", and Politician live in West, Bruce, & Laing. Leslie always liked Politician. Somewhat like Sir Paul playing The Beatles songs he knows people want to hear.

"Politician" is a great track. I can see why they'd love to jam on it. What's sad that there's a lot of Beatles songs he'll never probably do (although, there was at least one time he did for a special occasion,) because they were John songs, or the ones John sang lead on. I actually like his solo music, so I'm cool if he does or doesn't do Beatles tracks. It's really strange, I've been listening to him a lot lately, which I never did in the past. Then again, I really didn't listen to The Beatles that extensively, either. Not like I have in the past few years. I guess I just appreciate it from a more "experienced" musician perspective. I've been also trying to expand myself with what I've been listening to for years, so I don't get stuck in a rut. It's nice to break it up a bit.

John did get a lot of extra credit for singing, but I've been liking more of Paul, and George's songs lately. George had some surprise excellent ones.

Ringo sang one of my more favorite ones, "With A Little Help From My Friends".

Yeah, did you know the Joe Cocker cover of that song, Jimmy Page played lead guitar on it, since he was still doing session work, I think. I never knew that until years later, when I found out about some of the stuff he did.

Jimmy Page has done a lot of work like that. With Joe, and Jimmy being British, it would make sense.

Yeah, especially working in certain studios and producers. He did a lot of work for Shel Talmy, who produced The Who and The Kinks, to name a few.
