Yeah, I suppose it does make for good music, though. People get pissed off enough, and write songs about it.

That got to be a mainstay in the 60's in songs.

That's what I was thinking of, originally.

Oh yeah,........

I have the HD75 set to the EB-3 absolutely Right On! I do think I like the 7 Band EQ on the combo, in place of the 10 Band EQ on the HA2500 head. Like I may have mentioned before also, I do believe this HyDrive is a better one than the HyDrive in the 112b as well. Not every driver has the same sound to it.

You like the voicing on this EQ a lot more that the HA2500 head? You'd think those speakers would be the same, since they are the same material and the same size, but then again, there are other variables going into them, like the enclosures around them, and like you said, not every one is going to be the same, just like basses, even though they might be the same model and specs. So, how has that amp been reacting to the Epiphone, compared to the Jazz? I know they are totally different basses, with humbuckers and set neck with one, and single coils and bolt on neck with the other.

I do like the 7 Band EQ, over the 10 Band EQ. It was to my favor for both the Fender Jazz, and the Epi EB-3 too. Not just one or the other bass.

The HyDrives were a different in sound for whatever reason. The drivers themselves, the cab configuration, the amps, etc. I do believe though, it's the drivers themselves.

The Jazz did sound good through the HD75, but it loves the EB-3. The sounds it puts out from the Humbuckings is phenomenal. With the settings on the EQ, and then the HyDrive 12, the deep rich tone quality of a true 60's Rock sound is there. Everything played through it sounds incredible. I don't think I'd have any another current amp brand for the Epi EB-3, than the Hartke. The HyDrive Series in particular. The 60's bass tones are branded into my brain forever. Thank God! When I hear it, I know it.

Well, I think you probably don't get much more of a 60's tone, then humbuckers with 12" speakers, especially for bass, since that was pretty common for the time, wasn't it? Of course, you didn't have the aluminum speakers back then, so that adds something to that, as well.

True about the aluminum speakers not being around, but the Humbuckings, and 12"ers sure were. 12's Very common. Like you said the aluminum adds something to that sound. I like it!!! 8)

Yeah, it does give it a certain punch. I do remember that from the 4 x 10" cab, even though it was different than the one you have by size, and being all aluminum. I imagine a 4 x 12" Hydrive, would be a massive beast. I wonder if you were famous enough, they'd actually make one for you?

That would have a "Marshall Blair" at high volumes. That would be as Keith Moon would say, "SAUCY!" HD412 HyDrive,.........MMMMMMMM!

Yeah it sure would. It would look impressive as hell too. That's a great idea, the Hartke HD412!

Yeah, I'd certainly wouldn't mind running that with the Ampeg. 8)
