Yeah, I suppose that is the case with that.

I would think pretty much so.

I just hope it continues to be OK, and not crap out, because of it. I've had that amp for almost 8 years, but never really ran it that hard.

If you haven' been hard on it, it could last a while.

Yeah, I've only gigged with it once, and that was at some radio station that did a live showcase kind of thing, and took it out a couple more times for various rehearsal situations. Mostly, it's been in the house, because I had wound up getting the Orange head originally, with the Carvin cabs, then eventually the Ampeg head/Fender cab stack. I thought that would be better for live use, even though I could use the Rumble for that. At least it's a good spare amp, in case needed, and it's the house amp, which I'm going to be using tonight.

Your Rumble Combo is a fine playing beast. I'd say it's a fine back up, or frontline player.

Yeah, it is a good amp. Fender did really well with that one. 8)

One thing I always think helps to keep an up in good playing condition, and simple to do. Rotate the control the knobs, to keep from taking a set, and help to keep dust from causing pitting, and bad contacts.

Yeah, they also make those cleaners, too. I suppose it would also help to have an amp cover, but I've never owned one ever, which also reminds me that I have yet to get a bag for the Ampeg for travel to gigs and things like that. I suppose that will happen if I'm actually going to be doing that anytime soon. I hope so.

A beach towel works fine for an amp cover. A sheet of plastic even does fine also.

Yeah, whatever that's on hand, if you don't have an actual cover. I've never thought to ever use those, for whatever reason. I guess I've been lucky to where that's not really given me a problem, though. At least not that I've been aware of. Usually, the basses with the rosewood boards have been problematic in the winter season.

I don't have the Maple fretboard any longer. But I do have a nice Rosewood fretboard, on the Ebony EB-3, with a couple of powerful Humbuckings. I really got lucky to get the EB-3 I did. It weighs in at 7.8 pounds. ImageImage

They're still using rosewood with those? Well, that's something you wouldn't have to worry about, like I do with the weather changes. That's a pretty good weight, I think. Hopefully, that will help.

Yeah, you're climate controlled down there, anyway.
