Hey Raginrod,... I see a box for the MXR M-80 Bass D.I. sitting on top of your amp,...what's your opinion of it? I've had mine for a year & a half,............I think it's awesome . I also use the new MXR M -87 Bass Compressor.

For clean stuff the mxr is great. But I wasn't a fan of the overdrive, so I've since replaced it with the Sansamp DI. If it wasn't for this new Alice in Chains tribute I would have kept the MXR, but I preferred the overdrive tone of the Sansamp. Additionally, I used an MXR 80 for about 3 years straight, so I do like it...especially since it sells for about $50 less than the Sansamp.

I didn't need the M87 for the little bit of compression I use/need, I preferred the Boss Lmb3 bass limiter...especially since you can find them for 1/2 the price of the M87. I like the the tone of the M87...but too many knobs for this simple minded brain of mine.

The Sansamp DI is an excellent unit, ....The M -80 Bass DI works for me,....... I may look for another option should I find myself in a band situation where I need more dirt,....presently I only use a hint of distortion on the M-080, & like you I'm pretty simple minded when it comes to effects ...... I usually find a setting I like & never really change it........... :)

The Sansamp sounded pretty good tonight at practice. It's only the 3rd time I've used it. I'm still getting used to the settings though.

And paired with GK's new MBP powered extension cabinets,... you're options are endless as you can pair up any GK MB Combo with these extension cabinets.. check it out:

Hopefully the Rumble line will go this route.... :)

That was one of the reasons I went with the MB210-ll.

Good Job Mr.Nylon !! I was looking at these amps a few months ago & was intrigued with how they work in conjunction with the MB combo's .... it's nice to be able to add Cabinets if needed for a gig.... :)

They play well, NEO drivers, Horn with on off, plywood construction. And like I stated before, MIA. The MB210-ll, MB212-ll, and MB410 use Neodymium drivers.

I think the MB 200, 500, 800 & MB Fusion & Fusion 800 Micro amp heads are still made in Gallien's Factory in China but don't quote me on that... :)

I don't doubt that a bit. I can only go by my MB210-ll Combo for it's manufacture.
