I think it was just the head. The 300 Watts, and the 12", makes it a step above the Rumble 200 when I really think things out. If I had the funds, I would be very tempted to get a Rumble 210 Cab, in Black to go with the 121P. But, that's $400. Buckaroos. Even if I considered a 15" cab, that's $300.

Yeah, unless you go the used route, or finding one that's scratch and dent, etc. I wonder how a 15" and 12" speaker would sound together? I know one of the early Vox cabs that Paul McCartney had was a 15" and 12" in the same cab.

I would think the 12, and the 15 could be fine together.

I played the Markbass at an extremely low volume today, and the 12 proved to me why it's a bit more sensitive than a 15 would be, at that low of a volume.

I suppose it's not something that's conventional these days. Usually, it's 10"s and 15"s, if anything.

Maybe it's because of the smaller speaker, which reminds me of that whole deal I had with the 18" speaker.

Yes, but I think I have a way around that with a 15. The Hartke HyDrive 15", in the HD150 Combo. I thought about the Rumble 200, but that's too much cash, and The HyDrive series speakers are impressive, to me any way. The HyDrive 15" should be a it more sensitive, and responsive as well. I know those are decent combos, and 150 Watts is fine. I had one a few years ago, and went for a tube head.

I remember you having that amp. What about the Kickback 15" combo? Those are 500 watts, or at least 250, if that's some peak rating, but you'd get more power with it, either way. It's too expensive?

Out of price range. But, I'll do ok with a HD150. It's 150 Watts in a 13'x11' room. And the Mustang PJ isn't that quiet of a bass either.

Plus, it does have that HyDrive speaker, which I remember you talking about in the past as being really decent sounding. That Ampeg V4 head was only 100 watts, albeit tube, and that thing cranked, so I'm sure this amp should do fine, especially in your space. 8)

I haven't had a chance to try out this HD150, but as I recall, the previous HD150 was more than capable of shaking the room, and everything in it a lot. The 7 band EQ is even simplistic enough, even for an old man like me to set well.

You should be able to dial in a decent tone with that 7 band EQ. Plus, you got that HyDrive speaker going on with it.

Yes Sir. It's a decent setup. i have to admit, Markbass messed up when they dropped the B&C drivers for whatever they use now. Just not the same as the B&C were. That's ok, the Hartke got back to the 15" HyDrive again. I thought, why pay more, and actually get less with the Markbass. B&C were like the old Jensen, JBL, or Altec Lansings. They put out, and took a pounding.

The speakers in them aren't as good now?

I don't think they are. They don't perform as well as the original B&C drivers did.
