You also have to keep them greased up, too. I used to take some cooking oil and applied it to it. Not too much, otherwise they can get funky. I remember that they can get rusty, as well, if you're not careful, but then that's not too hard to clean that up.

That's the down side to cast iron.

My dad had one that he seasoned. Once in a while he'd heat it up a little and give it a quick scrub with cooking oil and salt.

That sounds about right. I've done that by putting it in the oven, as well.

I'd love to have a cast iron skillet and a Dutch Oven.

I'm waiting to see what amp maker is going to turn out another 4 ohm 2X12 cab like Ampeg, and Markbass has out.

When's the next NAMM? That's when you usually hear of new stuff coming out.

I'm surprised Mesa Boogie and Aguilar haven't jumped on that.

Mesa already has in the PowerHouse series, a 2X12 cab, available in either 8, or 4 ohm impedance. I thought Aguilar had one as well. I know the Mesa is way up in price.

It seems like 12's are the new 10's.

I guess things come around in cycles, like fashion.

I never did see how 12's could ever be diminished in usage. They really do make a lot of sense.

Yeah, I guess amp speakers are no different than anything else. GO 12's! Image

I just noticed there's a tweeter in your amp. Do you have it switched on, or is that even an option?
